As the year 2020 drew to a close, the air travel industry continued to navigate through the challenges posed by the global situation. Despite these hurdles, several air travel apps maintained user engagement on the iOS platform in the UK. Sensor Tower provides us with the data that offers a glimpse into the performance of the top 5 air travel apps during the fourth quarter of 2020.

Ryanair saw a fluctuating trend in revenue, peaking at $39K in the week of October 19, with a gradual decline to $12K by the end of December. Downloads also followed a declining trend, starting at approximately 6.8K in late September and tapering to 3.9K by the year's end. Weekly active users started strong at 67K but saw a decrease, ending at around 55K.

British Airways did not generate revenue through the app during this period. However, the app experienced a peak in downloads of 6.2K in late September, with numbers dropping to 4.2K by the end of December. Active users saw a slight decline from 48K to 39K over the quarter.

The easyJet: Travel App also reported no revenue but maintained a consistent download count, starting at 6.5K and ending the quarter at 3.9K. Weekly active users showed a more pronounced decline from 93K to approximately 72K by the close of Q4.

Flightradar24 | Flight Tracker experienced a notable revenue trend, starting at $13K and ending the quarter at $9.5K. Downloads began at 4.8K, with a significant spike to 6.7K in the week leading up to Christmas, before settling at 4.9K in the last week of December. Active users peaked at 64K in early October, with a slight dip to 61K by the year's end.

Lastly, Wizz Air - Book Flights did not record any revenue during the quarter. Downloads for the app saw a modest increase from 2.9K to 3K, while active users remained relatively stable, fluctuating around the 23K mark throughout the quarter.
